So I’ve been an RP’er for a long time now and, as far as I know, none of my friends have ever RP’d. Being stuck in a timezone that isn’t that ideal for RP’ing, I decided to inform my friend about the joy and wonder of ‘collaborative storytelling’ (a fancy word I used to lure her in) and asked her if she wanted to do it with me—all because I was sick to death with waiting for a whole day just for one reply.
She said yes and—boy, oh boy, am I regretful of that fact. To put it bluntly, she’s one of the worst people that I have ever RP’d with, probably even the worst. Her character’s a blatant Mary Sue, she slips into godmodding my characters, and she constantly nags at me to reply, even if only ten minutes has passed ever since her own reply. The worst thing, though, is how hard she’s trying to make this one ship work and it just ends up feeling forced.
Thing is, she’s also one of my friends, so I daren’t hurt her feelings. She’s a writer too (the reason why I came to her in the first place) and she’s horribly sensitive about her writing—so I just sit there, reply, and hope that she gets bored with this soon.
I relate to this on every level.
I had an incredibly similar situation with a friend it’s actually the reason why I don’t RP with anyone other than Cookie now u_u
